What is the Email Marketing Tool?

A tool that lets you create and send custom email campaigns, design customized layouts, and track performance with built-in analytics, all from within your BookTix account. Read more about the tool here. 

How does it work?

Once enabled in your BookTix account, with this tool you can mass email all customers, or opt to send to customized, targeted email lists. You will create an email campaign where you can track data, in which you can design your email to include things like images, videos, social media links, and more. 

Do I have to pay for it?

No, BookTix will provide you with an allotment of credits twice a year, with enough credits to send 3 emails to every valid contact in your account per six months.  You can purchase more credits if you need more than the provided credit allotment. 

Does everyone in my account have access to it?

No. An Organization Administrator is the only access level that can enable the tool, and has access to email every customer within the entire account. Org Admins can opt to allow Department Managers to have access to the tool as well. Department Managers only have access to the customers within their specific department.

Can I send as many emails as I want?

You can, but you will need to have credits available to send an email. Credits are replenished on Jan 1 & Jul 1 (3 x the number of valid contacts in your account), but you can also opt to purchase more as needed

Can I import a list from another system like mailchimp?

Yes! Just follow our provided cvs template, and upload your email list to your account.
Notes
Importing a list should be done prior to enabling the tool so you are provided with sufficient credits. Your initial allotment of credits when enabling the tool is a one-time occurrence. All credit automatic replenishments will then occur only on Jan 1 and Jul 1. You can opt to purchase additional credits at any time.
Please also note that importing does not add customer accounts in your ticket portal; it only provides contacts for emailing via the Email Marketing Tool.

Can you create the campaign and send the email for me?

You have control over your own lists, email layouts, recipient data, and confirming/testing your own e-mail campaign. These are important steps in sending an email campaign, and we require them to be done by you, instead of our staff.

Once I turn it on can I turn it off again?

Yes, you can disable the email marketing tool at any time in your Organization Dashboard. 

How do I just send a simple email to all customers in my account?

You can send an email campaign without creating a custom list, but rather just send to all customers in your account (or for department managers, all customers in your department).

Can I schedule my emails to send at a specific date/time?

Yes! When you are creating your Campaign, you will go through setting your Recipients, your email Setup, and the creation of the Email body, before moving into the SCHEDULE page.  
Choose SEND AT A SPECIFIC DATE AND TIME and enter the delivery date and time. 
Email Delivery Timing
Emails are sent in batches to help build a positive reputation with email services and reduce the risk of messages being flagged as spam. In the beginning, the system starts with smaller batches so email providers can recognize and trust the sending domain. As you continue sending more campaigns and build that trust, the batch sizes and sending speed will automatically increase—meaning your emails will go out faster and more efficiently over time. If you’re sending to a large list, it may take a few hours for all messages to go out, but that’s completely normal and nothing to worry about. 

Can I send an email to my tagged customers?

Yes! When building a list using Customer Profiles, under Customer Details, you can search and add the tags which you would like to include. 

Can I send an email to customers I already have in a list in my ticketing account?

Yes! Once you have created a List, you can choose that list when making your email campaign.
