How to Download and Use the QR Code or Tracking Link

Once the link is created, you can copy your newly created link using the COPY icon next to your link URL:

BookTix automatically generates a QR code you can download as a PNG.

Place this QR code anywhere you want to drive traffic and track results, including but not limited to:
  1. Posters and flyers
  2. Programs or playbills
  3. Your website
  4. Social media graphics

Understanding Link Tracking

Every link you create comes with detailed analytics. You’ll be able to see:
  • Total clicks: how many times people clicked your link.
  • Unique Clicks: how many individual users clicked.
  • Most Popular Referrer: where those clicks came from (Facebook, Google, your school’s website, etc.).
  • Most Popular State: what state has the most clicks
  • Geographic data: a map view showing clicks worldwide or by U.S. state.

This information helps you measure the effectiveness of each marketing effort.

Compare Campaigns

One of the biggest advantages of this tool is the ability to compare results across different placements. For example:

  • Create one QR code for posters and another for handout flyers, then see which drives more scans.

  • Include a QR code for your spring musical ticket sales inside the fall play program and track how many audience members scanned it.

  • Share links on different social platforms (Facebook vs. Instagram) and compare referrers to see which is most effective.

Refine Your Strategy

By checking your link analytics regularly, you’ll see exactly where your audience is engaging. This allows you to adjust your marketing strategy by doubling down on what works and rethinking what doesn’t.

Final Tip

Marketing Links and QR Codes don’t just connect your patrons to your box office, they give you actionable data to make every campaign smarter and more impactful.
