Connecting Your Google Tag Manager
⏱︎ 1 minute

Access Level: Organization Administrators only
In order to utilize this feature, you must already have a Google Analytics account for your organization. BookTix does not offer support for this feature, we simply allow you to enable this integration.
BookTix offers the ability to connect your customer portal to Google Tag Manager. This allows you to track your customers across the BookTix platform and integrate third-party advertising or marketing tools to track ad performance and sales targets.
Considerations Before Connecting Google Tag Manager
To comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws, BookTix will only load the tracking code after the user consents to being tracked on your BookTix site. If you provide a GTM Container ID, your customer portal will show a small message at the bottom of the website window asking for permission to load the tracking details:
Customers will have the ability to adjust their privacy preferences at any time.
If your state/province has privacy laws for the use of cookies and online tracking, you may be required to post a privacy policy in addition to the BookTix privacy policy. BookTix is NOT responsible for the compliance of your organization based on laws in your state/province.
This is an advanced feature that most organizations will not use unless they have advanced technical knowledge. BookTix is not able to provide support on how to use Google Tag Manager. This integration is most commonly used when working with a marketing consultant who is helping you with SEO and targeted pay-per-click advertisements.
How to Connect Your Google Tag Manager
- Log in and navigate to the organization dashboard via the gear in the top right corner.

- On the left side menu, under Customer Management→ GOOGLE TAG MANAGER.

Add your GTM Container ID into the box and click UPDATE.
By providing a GTM container ID, you agree that you have permission from your organization to enable this feature and have read and agree to the BookTix Terms of Service, which includes additional information about the use of Google Tag Manager.
If you do not know how to get your Google Tag Manager Container ID, you should speak with the person who manages your Google Marketing account.
