Building a Purchase History Customer List in BookTix – Step-by-Step Guide

Building a List - Purchase History

⏱︎ 3 minutes

There are 3 ways to build a List - Purchase History (based on orders made across both log in accounts or guest account), Customer Profiles (based on traits within login accounts only), or Upload a Custom List (where you can import your own contact list and use it to make a List within BookTix).

This article will be on using the PURCHASE HISTORY option.

      1. Access the List Builder
      2. Click CREATE NEW LIST

      3. Click PURCHASE HISTORY, then CONTINUE

         4.  Choose ANY or EVERY Filter

Notes
If you wish to include multiple events or purchase types in your list, and your filter is set to EVERY contact, then the contact must have purchased from BOTH events. If your filter is set to ANY, then the contact can have purchased either of your events or purchase types that you are including in the list.
      5. Choose the purchase type by clicking the BLUE +.
            a. Use TYPE to find the the type of line item you would like to search (ie, Events, Items, etc.).
            b. CONDITION can either be ANY (will include ANY event, item, etc. ) or SPECIFIC (will search for SPECIFIC events, items, etc). For example, use this if you want to look specifically at customers who bought Pippin tickets.

Using the SPECIFIC setting
When using EVENT and SPECIFIC settings, you will have a search tool like this:

When using DONATION CAMPAIGN and SPECIFIC settings, you will have a search tool like this, and can enter the donation amounts you wish to search for:

If using EVENT GENRE, ITEM, PACKAGE, etc. and SPECIFIC settings, the search tool will look like this:

               c. Choose what you wish to include and click ADD TO SEARCH

Repeat step 5 to include more purchase types.

      6. Limit by Purchase Date if you wish to only see orders placed within a specific time frame.

      7. Under Exclude from Lists, choose if you want to exclude specific purchase types.
            a. Click the BLUE + to open the list.
            b. Click the BLUE + next to the purchase type to exclude it.
            c. Click SAVE.
Info
You will most likely use this option if, in step b, you used the ANY setting. This will be how you can dictate that you might like to have ANY event in the list, EXCEPT the Fall Cabaret.
      8.  Click SEARCH.

      9. The results will appear below the search button. Enter the LIST NAME, and click SAVE LIST
