Understanding Customer Accounts

⏱︎ 1 minute

Customer accounts are where important customer details like purchase history, contact information, and customer notes and question answers are stored.
It is also where you can access and affect past customer orders, like if you needed to provide refunds or exchanges.

Accessing a Customer Account

      1. Log in and navigate into your department.
      2. On the left side menu, go to Customer Relationship Management → CUSTOMER SEARCH TOOL.

      3. Search the customer information and find the customer account under the Log In Accounts header.
      4. Click ACCESS ACCOUNT
Not seeing the customer under Log In Accounts?
It's possible the customer checked out as a guest. In this case, look under the GUEST ACCOUNT header, and see if you find their details there. You can then access the order, and could link the order to an existing customer account, invite the customer to create a login account, or could set up a new customer account on their behalf, if needed.
       5. This is the customer account. Each element is described below.
