How do I make seats inactive or hidden?
There are few ways to remove seats from the map, depending on what you are wanting to do with said seats.
If you want to reserve a seat for a customer to purchase at a future time, you'll want to use the HOLD function. This will keep the seat within your chart, but hold it for when you're ready to have it purchased.
That tutorial is here. Inactive seats will keep the circle of the seat within the map, but will make it grayed out and unclickable.
Hidden seats will remove the seat circle from the map entirely, leaving a space where the seat once was.
To begin, log in to your administrator account and navigate to your department. On the right side bar, under the Box Office header, click SEATING CHARTS.
Click VIEW on the bottom left corner of the chart.
Then, click EDIT SPECIFIC SEAT STATUS.
On this page, click the seat you would like to edit. This will open a pop-up with a dropdown for active, inactive, and hidden.
Select the one you would like, then click UPDATE.
NOTE: Inactive seats will appear as a grayed out, unclickable circles in your map, while hidden seats will become an empty space where the seat once was.
And you're done! You will either see a grayed out seat, or a white seat to demonstrate where the hidden seat spacer will be.
Then, when the map is in use, those seats will appear as they do below!
