Holding a seat means it is set aside by an admin, and cannot be purchased by any customers. Held seats can be released for purchase by customers, or added to a cart and sold as a regular ticket price or a comp.
To begin, log in to your administrator portal, then access your department by clicking GO TO DEPARTMENT and navigating into the department that is hosting your event.
1. Under the left side bar under the box office header, click EVENTS.
2. Click EVENT MANAGER next to your event.
3. Click DATE MANAGER along the top functions bar, and click the date you would like to hold or unhold seats.
4. Click the Hold/Unhold Seats tab, and then select the button of which action you would like to take.
Note: If you do not have any seats held, you will only see the HOLD SEATS button.
5A. If you are holding seats, select the seats you would like to hold, optionally add a note on for what the hold is, and then place your seat holds.
5B. If you are unholding seats, select the seats you would like to release from either the map or the list. If you are just releasing, then click Remove Holds. If you are adding them to your cart for purchase, then you will check off the box "Add Held Seats to Shopping Cart." Use your POS system from here to sell the tickets to yourself or a customer.
