How to Charge Sales Tax in BookTix – Set Up and Manage Tax Rates

Charging Sales Tax

You can opt to charge and track sales tax on transactions.
When using option, taxes are charged on all orders, but options are available to add exceptions to specific departments and mark things as tax exempt.
Notes
This is not tax advice, and by default your BookTix account does not charge sales tax.

      1. Log in and navigate to the Organization Dashboard via the gear on the top right. 
      
      2. Under the left Financial Management header, click TAXES
      
      3. Click ADD NEW TAX. 

      4. Enter your details: Tax Name, Tax Abbreviation, and Tax Rate
Idea
 You can select specific departments in your account to exclude from this tax rate.
      

      5. Click SAVE when completed.


All transactions in your account will include your tax rate, unless the department has been excluded. 
This will display when things are added to cart, as well as at checkout:
