Can I ask questions at checkout?

Yes! These questions can be organization based or department based, and will be asked on every order placed within that department or organization, respectively.

First, log in to your account. 
If the question is going to be organization wide, go to the organization dashboard, then click CUSTOM QUESTIONS


 If the question is doing to be department wide, navigate into the department.  On the left side bar, under the Box Office Manager, click CUSTOM QUESTIONS



On this page, you'll find the form to create your question. 



The Form Fields 
Question Text:  What would you like the question to say? (For example, "How did you hear about us?")
Question Abbreviation: A short name that will represent the question within reports
Question Type: How would you like the customer to reply?  Text Boxes allow them to type answers. Select Dropdown will have multiple options and the customer must only choose one (the . Radio Buttons present multiple options and the customer must only choose one. Check Boxes will have multiple options and the customer can select more than one. Date allows customer to enter only a date, while Date Time allows both a date and time. Text Break is simply a reminder added to the bottom of the order that does not allow a customer to enter any information (like "please bring a canned good!") 
Question Validation: Is this optional or required? 
Show in Reports: Would you like this visible in reports? 
POS Validation Required: Should admins selling in the Point of Sale tool also be required to enter an answer for a customer?

Once you are happy with your question, click SAVE, and you've successfully added a custom question! 

Now, when the customer goes to make a purchase, the custom question will appear as such: 


And, when selling in the Point of Sale tool, the custom question will appear like this: 




When you are ready to find how customers have answered this, there are two ways to access the information. 
The first is by looking at individual orders. To do this, access the order either via Order History or the Customer Search Tool, and scroll to the bottom of the order. There, you will see the category for Custom Questions. 


The other route is to view all answers within a report. To do this, under the box office header, go to EVENTS> EVENT MANAGER. Click Ticket Counts, and on this page, click the blue EXPORT EVENT TICKET LIST. 

On the CSV file, the final column will have all the answers to the order questions.
