Adding a New Ticket Plan

BookTix Terms Used on this Tutorial
A ticket plan is the collection of ticket types used for your event.
A ticket type is the name and price set for a specific seat or section of your seating chart.

For example, if you had a yearly cabaret where Adult tickets were $20.00 and Student tickets were $15.00, you can set up a ticket plan called “Cabaret” with those two ticket types and it can be used each time you create the event.

      1. Log in and navigate to your department.
      2. Under the left side menu bar, go to BOX OFFICE and click TICKET PLANS.

      3. Click ADD NEW TICKET PLAN

      4. Enter the Ticket Plan Name.

Notes
We recommend making it related to the show,  or something that describes what’s been included in the ticket plan to make it easier to reference when setting up your event.

      5. Click ADD NEW TICKET TYPE.

    6. Enter your ticket type details.
            a. Ticket Name: What your customer will see (like "Adult" or "Student")
            b. Ticket Status: Active (available) or Inactive (unavailable)
            c. Ticket Abbreviation: (Abv. for the ticket name, like "Adlt" or "Stdt")
            d. Available To: Everyone (available on customer site) or Point of Sale Only (only sellable by you in the POS tool)
            e. Ticket Price: Base price of tickets
            f. Flex Fee: a processing fee you can charge to the customer, particularly to cover the BookTix Fee.
Idea
Click AUTO FEE to automatically calculate what to charge in the Flex Fee in order to cover the BookTix Fee.
            g. Cash Fees: An option to charge a different processing fee on a ticket paid for with cash.
            h. Lock Ticket to Specific Seating Chart Categories: How you can apply specific prices to specific seating sections. Use this expander to check off to which sections prices apply.

Info
In the above example, we are creating "Adult" and "Student" ticket types. Any name can be used to delineate prices from one another. If you only have one price option, you could simply name it "Ticket".
      7. Click ADD TICKET.
      8. Add any additional ticket types, repeating steps 6-7.
      9. Then, click SUBMIT TICKET PLAN

You can now choose this ticket plan when setting up your event!
