Creating and Using Upsells

This function allows you to suggest relevant events, items, packages, or sponsorships to your customers during checkout. You can choose to recommend something when only specific items are in the cart, or can choose to always recommend them.
How to Create an Upsell
1. Under the MARKETING SUITE, click UPSELLS.
2. Click ADD NEW UPSELL.
3. Under STEP 1, click SELECT UPSELL.
Only Upselling Certain Event Dates or Item Types
You can choose to only upsell a specific event date, item type, etc. When in the SELECT UPSELL popup, use the respective dropdown to choose what you would like to upsell.
EVENT:
Click the expander next to Select Specific Date, then click the +DATE button to select only that date.
ITEM:
Click the expander next to Choose Option, then click the +OPTION button to select only that option.
4. Under STEP 2: choose the Upsell location as either a POPUP or UNDER CART.
POPUP | UNDER CART |
Popup means the Upsell will appear within a popup prior to reaching the checkout window. This will appear in a popup like the below for the customer. | Under Cart means it will appear underneath their cart items prior to reaching the checkout page. This will appear under the shopping cart like the below for the customer. |
5. Under STEP 3, set when the Upsell appears.
a. If you chose POPUP, under "On What" you can choose to show it Always, on all events, or on specific cart items.
If using on specific cart items, click SELECT SPECIFIC CART ITEMS and add where it should appear.
b. Optionally, set a Time Frame. Leave STATUS as Active, unless you want to keep the Upsell hidden for now.
6. Click ADD UPSELL.
And you're done! You've created your Upsell.
