You must charge your device for at least two hours prior to using. Failure to do so will prevent your device from connecting.

Step 4: Login to App & Power On Reader
Before you begin, you must be logged into the BookTix Card Reader App.
  1. Enter your email & password you use to login to your BookTix account, and select the appropriate country.
  2. Select your Organization from the drop down menu
  3. Select your Department from the drop down menu

Step 5: Power on and Pair Your Device
Power on your Stripe M2 reader using the small power button on the side.
The reader will play a sound when powering on, and the green lights on the front display the reader's battery life.
REMINDER: You must charge your reader for at least two hours prior to using.

After it has been powered on, the app will find the M2 reader. Click CONNECT to begin pairing.
If you don't see your reader listed, click DISCOVER.

There will be a prompt asking you to allow Bluetooth for the app - you must allow bluetooth for the reader to work. You must also enable location tracking when using the app.

Click Pair when prompted to pair your reader:

At this point, some readers will require a firmware update. You will see a progress bar indicating this once you pair your device.

Note: If you get a yellow error across the top of the screen, you may not have fully charged your card reader.

Once completed, you will see a green bar at the top of your screen saying the reader has Successfully Connected.

You can now begin using your Stripe M2 Card Reader at checkout.

Selling Tickets Using the Stripe M2 Card Reader

Step 1: Sell Tickets
Begin a transaction as you normally would through the Point of Sale tool in your BookTix admin portal. When you arrive at the shopping cart, make sure you select CARD as your payment type top right before going to CHECKOUT.

Step 2: At Checkout
At checkout use SEND TO CARD READER APP button.

This will send the cart to your card reader app, and if your reader is paired appropriately, you will see your list of carts in the app. Select the correct cart, then you will be prompted to Tap, Insert, or Swipe the credit card.

Step 3: Tap or Insert Card
A card with a chip MUST be tapped or insterted into the reader (please see example chip card below). Other non-chip cards may use the swipe feature.

You will know the reader is ready for a card when one green light comes on the device. Once the card is read, the device will beep/all four lights will light up, and you will see a message on the screen that the card has been read successfully.

Step 4: Complete the Order
Return to the computer and click the REFRESH button in your cart. The card information will appear.

Make sure you have selected your Ticket Delivery Method, then lick PROCESS CARD READER TRANSACTION and complete the order.

Your order is now complete!
