Pre-sale access codes will grant early access to customers to make their purchase before they go on sale to the general public. The Pre-sale codes can also limit the number of tickets they can purchase, the types of tickets they can access, and parts of the seating chart they can choose from. They can be used on event tickets, items, and packages.
Discount codes create a special code that can be used to discount an order item. You can offer discounts by a dollar amount or percentage, can do a buy one get one free offer, or make the order item completely free via a discount code. They can be used on event tickets, items, and packages.
Both Pre-Sale Access codes and Promo codes can be created as single use codes (only good for one use) or multi-use codes (can be used by multiple accounts). The organization can put a date range to the use of the codes and can track who used which code.
